What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a protected password record, your news-email preference, and session records. When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide.
How we protect it
Email addresses and contact messages are encrypted by the application before storage. Passwords are never stored: we keep a salted, computationally expensive password derivation protected by a separate server-side secret. Login cookies are Secure, HttpOnly, host-only, and backed by a hashed server-side session token.
How we use it
We use account data to provide sign-in and profile functions. We use contact data to answer your inquiry. We only use your account email for news when “Do not send me Riko news emails” is turned off. Account and security messages are unaffected by that setting.
Service providers and retention
Cloudflare hosts the website, security checks, and encrypted database. Contact notifications may be delivered through Cloudflare’s email service. We retain account data while the account remains active, sessions until they expire or you sign out, and contact inquiries only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain business records.
Your choices
You can change the news-email preference from your profile at any time. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email oregonrobots@gmail.com.
